Hure Dining Table / Desk
I have a love for the old cast iron bases made from the late 1800s to the 1940s. A French machinist named P. Hure built many different lathes and milling machines that stood on them. They are rare and very hard to find, especially in America, so I built this base as a tribute to him. It’s built with 1/4″ thick steel which is the heaviest gauge we’ve used to date. And the large connecting screw has a 2″ diameter with a 3″ nut that holds the two bases together. It’s massive and curvy lines blend well to support the 2″ thick worn oak top which is adorned with metal trim and bolted corner protectors. As always, this piece can be customized to suit your needs, with different tops, as a desk with drawers, different heights, colors, etc.
The base is available separately (around $3200) , and we have plans to make this into a coffee and side table.
Cherry, Mahogany or Worn Oak top with metal trim and bolted corners, Walnut is additional.
Penn Desk
Based of an old factory desk, this functional design is comfortable for work or greeting guests all day. It includes a solid walnut top and lower shelf, brass hardware/accents, an adjustable height lower shelf (where you can rest your feet), locking drawer, and a slot for your pencil just like the old school desks. Available with an optional cubby for the top, and additional brass accents, and as always, can be customized to suit your needs.
Royston Desk
Inspired by a 1940s French work desk, this design offers simple, clean lines enhanced with side and back stylized diagonal supports. Solid and sturdy, the desk weighs in at 150 lbs, but glides anywhere smoothly with gorgeous five spoke locking iron caster wheels.
Desk workspace is hand crafted from aged solid white oak hardwood, with cool, deep gray steel details and supports. Makes an excellent computer or writing desk for any loft or apartment.
This versatile design can be tailored to suit your style. Mix and match walnut or mahogany desk workspace, alter the size, create a console table or kitchen island, remove the wheels, remove the drawers or add more, create a rust or polished chrome-like finish, the possibilities are endless.
Pictured desk dimensions are 60″ x 24″ x 30″ tall. Drawers are 13.5″ wide and offer lots of storage space.
A Frame Dining Table / Desk
I built this as a dining table but noticed it would do double duty as a desk. The A frame is built of heavy gauge steel and with 2 tubular cross braces with bolting ends. The design is unique and reminiscent of vintage French Industrial design. It’s heavy duty, makes a statement, and can be customized.
